Wish us luck….
Hello all, thankfully after a really rough day yesterday, I am finally starting to feel better.
rn
I do have some potentially great news. Ethan has a job interview with a major corporation tomorrow. It would mean a lot more money, more benifits, and best of all…their headquarters are about 10 min from my house. Right now he has an 1 1/2 hour commute each way everyday. The money that we wouldn’t be spending on gas alone every month, would be a huge difference, not to mention the extra time at home. He would actually get to see the kids before he leaves for work in the morning.
rn
So please keep your fingers and toes and any other flexible body parts crossed for us.
rn
My eating was really bad yesterday, it’s hard to do low carb when the only thing you can hold down is toast. Hopefully today will be better.
rn
It’s about 8 degrees here and snowing, so I need to go and bundle up the monsters and head out into the frozen Tundra to the bus stop.
rn
Over the last few days I’ve seen the little goof balls eyeing up the metal street sign pole, and debating whether or not that scene in A Christmas Story is accurate. Believe me if one of them did it…it would be one of mine.
rn
I can hear it now, But Mom he triple dogged dared me!
rn
Have a good one Buddies!

Ha ha hah…I can picture the frozen tongue now!!!
Glad you are feeling a bit better. It sucks to be sick for sure!!!

Hmm I did that tongue thing when I was a kid on a metal swingset..
I turned out o.k… Well almost o.k. I guess!! Your kids can too!! My fingers are crossed for you and Ethan!! Hope it all works out!!
Glad you are starting to feel better.
Hope the job opportunity for Ethan goes well, that would be so great for your family. I’ll send good thoughts your way!!

Tina

LOL, I tried that when I was a kid. lol my tongue hurt for a whole day. Anyways, I hope the huuby gets the new job. I will cross everything I can for you. Hope your feeling 100% again real soon. Take care
I HOPE HE GETS IT AND I HOPE YOUR KIDS ARENT AS BAD AS MINE AND MABEY JUST STOP AND LISTEN BUT IF THERE NOT HOPE THEY LEARN NOT TO DO IT AGAIN
Yeah, and I can just about see you standing there saying “you got yourself into it, now get yourself out”!!!
Glad you’re feeling better.
And I’ll even cross my eyes for Ethan to get that job if it will help! I remember commuting 1 1/2 hours on a good day when we lived in California. On a bad day it was as much as 3 hours, and there were times we just turned around and went back home!!!
Ha! That’s one of my favorite scenes - and 8 degrees? That is some cold windchill! Can they even walk? Or are they like the little brother in the movie?
I wish Ethan the best of luck, tell him the 4 Cs - Cool, Calm, Collective, and Confident.
Hope Ethan gets the new job, it would be great for you guys all the way around!
Your boys sound like mine when they were little!
Have a good day!
Super about Ethan!

This post is full of lots of California Sunshine and warmth.
I hope it warmed you up!
take care,
and I hope the hubby gets the job. My husbands commute is 1 1/2 hours too, so I know what that’s like (without kids).
I hope your DH gets the new job it sounds like it would help a lot! And I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you!
You know Erika…reading your blog today makes me want to apologize to God. Last night, I was miserable. Just when I thought I was feeling better, “things” started to make me feel worse…and I said to God, “when will this ever stop???” I hope this time She wasn’t listening because I immediately thought I was ungrateful. I mean for Heavens sakes, I am a little sick, there are people out there in the world with terminal illnesses.
So….I come to read your blog and read about how miserable you have been feeling and I realize, that I am an ungrateful child of God. I mean….really!! I was complaining because it started to get warm here in Southern California…and you, ill and all, have to go out and face the elements. Oh boy, do I have some serious apologizing to do to the Almighty!
I know that besides my apoligizing tonight, I will say a little prayer for Ethan, so he can get that job!! Hope you feel better my friend!
I hope your hubby gets the job. My fingers are crossed for you.
I loved your entry today. My son said that he had a boy at school who wanted to try sticking his tongue to the pole! I’m surprised it wasn’t mine. LOL!!! My guys love that movie!
