General Tso Chicken is a bad thing

Good morning all, I totally lost my mind lastnight and had chinese. Holy water retention this morning BatMan!

rn

We went to the mall to get our taxes done lastnight, we got there about an hour and a half before our appointment so we could suprise the kids with a trip to Chuck E Cheese for dinner. They all had pizza and soda, I had the salad bar and bottled water. I was doing really well until we took the kids into the food court to get ice cream, I really was hungry. So I got the chinese….never again.

rn

I’m sure I didn’t do too much damage to my diet, considering I hardly ate anything all day.

rn

I have to share though how proud I am of my boys. When it was time to leave Chuckie’s they had about 200 tickets between them to redeem. They talked it over and decided that since they didn’t have enough to get anything good that they would just give their tickets to a little boy that only had a few. Then as we were half way out the door they realized that they both still had tokens in their pockets, and ran back to that same little guy and gave them to him also.

rn

Finally, I have to stay on the bragging front for just one more moment. My mother told me yesterday that over the weekend she and Logan go to talking about what ” pretty ” is. He was naming off all the women in his life that he thought was pretty. So she asked him about me, and Logan’s response was ” My Mommy is beautiful, she can really rock the room. “

My mother about died laughing, and asked him where he got that one from. He answered, ” Daddy told me .”

lol, that’s a sweet way to find out how your kid and his daddy feel about you! It sounds like you had a good day :) … Saw how sweet your kids are, got an unexpected compliment, and learned an important lesson about Chinese food.

Oh yeah, and thanks for the warning! My town has Chinese food 3 days a week (some lady with a trailer she takes between 2 or 3 towns for a part time resturaunt) I have been craving it, but I didn’t know that food led to water retention! … I’ll stick to my original plan of taking spaghetti, strawberries, and a banana to work.

Children only learn from what they are taught.  You two are doing  great job.  You have  every reason to be a proud Mom

I feel like I want to meet your boys - god I wish more people were brought up that way - I can totally see them in the future running a foundation or something like that - what do they wanna do when they grow up? And that was a lovely round-about compliment from Ethan!

Ahh the dreaded Chinese got you eh Erika?  We’ve all fallen victim to that one!!  I’m sure you’ll pick yourself right back up today though!  The stories were very cute!!  You should be very proud of your boys that is something that few kids today would do.. Lord knows mine wouldn’t and it speaks volumes about you and Ethan’s parenting!!  Good job!!  Oh and the fact that you can rock a room doesn’t surprise me at all!!  Great stuff!
