Carb hangover!
Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t fall off the wagon…I chose to jump off for a day, it was planned and needed. I have hit a wall, and stopped losing weight with my low carb diet. This has happened to me before, and I have found that the best way to re-start the losing is to take a day off and “shock” my system.
Let me tell you, I feel like I have the worst hangover of my life. My head hurts, I’m tired, a little sick to my stomach…the whole 9 yards. If there was any doubt in my mind that my body just works better on low carb, this definately proved it!
I woke up this morning longing for an egg, as opposed to the cereal I had yesterday….funny how quickly the body changes.
Work is insane! We are very quickly becoming the place to be in our area, and appear to be the favorite hangout for all the other local restaurant/bar’s employees.
We were shoulder to shoulder, and 4 people deep around the bar Tuesday night, it looked like a Saturday…Speaking of Saturday, I am going to need rollerskates, as it is our St Patty’s Day party. I expect that we will be filled to capacity by 11pm, if not earlier.
Jarod’s 10th birthday is coming up in 2 weeks! 10? How the hell did that happen so fast? His party is an “American Idol” theme. I hired the DJ that does our karaoke night at the bar to play the party.
Like most of you know, we have a reputation for hrowing the most over the top birthday parties. Jarod told me the other day that at least 5 of his teachers at school plan on attending….not to mention the regulars and the kids from his class. I’m expecting about 75 people in total.
As usual, I am behind on party planning. Thankfully I am off this evening, so I plan to put a dent in the list of things I need to do.
That’s what’s new here, I hope you all are well.
